    Thanks Brink,
    You're the man!!

    I'd like to make a couple of other control panel shortcuts. Where do you get the path to enter? Like in your
    example in this tutorial: %windir%\explorer.exe shell:::{ED7BA470-8E54-465E-825C-99712043E01C}
    Is it an item in the Registry? I want to make a shortcut to Program Defaults, and it's like 4 layers down. And it seems I'm in there all the time. If it's in the Registry, can you just give me the path and sub item, and hopefully I can figure it out from there.
    I want to learn how to create them without asking all you Gurus!!

    Thanks for all your hard work on these tutorials. I can't begin to guess how many times I've referred to them.

    Hello Cathy, :)

    Yeah, they're scattered in the registry under the HKCR\CSLID key.

    For Default Programs: %windir%\explorer.exe shell:::{17cd9488-1228-4b2f-88ce-4298e93e0966}

    I see. So I guess you would just have to do a Find in Regedit using the Exact Name of the Control Panel Item. OK. Thanks Brink.
