So as far as making a clean exit from the host using the tscon 1 /dest:console command...I had an issue with the cmd window being left open and my user on the host end not knowing how/if he should close it.

What I did was make a simple little .bat file two lines:
    tscon 1 /dest:console
I named it SessionEnd.bat, you can call it what you it in the HOSTs C:\Windows\system32 folder. Now as you leave the RDC on the host, right click start, click Command Prompt (Admin), in the cmd box type in the name of your batch file (for me SessionEnd.bat), hit enter and you're out of there and the cmd window is closed and the world is good.

I have a feeling that this excellent tutorial is getting a little out of date, Some of the dialog boxes that I get on my Win 10 Pro trying to setup RDC to another Win 10 PC on my LAN do not match what you showed.

You can use the home edition with and you also need to copy "rfxvmt.dll" (C:\windows\system32) from a working W10Pro and paste in W10Home (same spot).

    Releases · stascorp/rdpwrap · GitHub

Get the Zip version as the MSI doesn't currently work on windows 10.

PS RDP Wrapper works as a layer between Service Control Manager and Terminal Services, so the original termsrv.dll file remains untouched."

I've been trying to find a way to help my sister who lives hundreds of miles away with her PC. I know any windows PC can be controlled remotely. M$ may have made it extremley difficult for the end user to do so but they can do it quite easily with no need for setting up anything on the "host" end.

It's all really quite infuriating. She completely computer illiterate and I'm not going to try talking her through making these modifications over the phone.
