Hello together,
Maybe I am blind, but I can't see any differences between the content of "Add_Take_Ownership_to_context_menu.reg" and "Add_Shift+Right-Click_Take_Ownership_to_context_menu.reg".
I would know, which entries have to be made in the registry to add an order to the context menu only with Shift+Right-Click.
I created an adjusted Version, but I have no ideao how to extend accordingly.
Best regards,
allesgeheim
You're really great! Thank you so much for the fast clarification!
And I should go to the eye shop or go in bed if it's dark
Brink,
Just wanted to say thank you for your work and sharing!
This saved a lot of time, I wanted to delete some "found.xxx" files from check disk after replacing the failing drive and using its image on the new one. I had more than 30 folders with files needing permission change to delete and this got all but one gone within windows. The last I got with a boot CMD (said it was in use while I was looking at in file explorer).
Liked the thoughtfulness to include the return to normal state.
Thank you! -- Bill
Hi, I tried to modify a Windows Store game Outer Worlds but I cannot copy / write files to WindowsApps folder by any means so your tools looked like a miracle but I still have issues because I'm getting "Access Denied" message (It's in Czech) Is there anyway around it? Any tip is very appreciated. Thanks
Hello Lukyz, and welcome to Ten Forums.
The WindowsApps folder is one of those protected folders. Usually, you'll have to take ownership of this folder and each individual file and folder inside the WindowsApps folder you want to access and modify. Doing so, could cause issues with apps affected by the changes.
In addition, these owner and permission changes are always getting reset back to default after any update making it very frustrating to do anything with it.
