    Howdy,
Any chance we can extend this very useful snippet to work for RegEdit.exe as well?
I mean simply click on Registry Keys and Context Menu has Take Ownership?
    Best :)

    Shawn,

When I import the reg file it does not add a "Take Ownership" option to my content menu. I am running Windows 10 Pro

    version 1703
    OS Build 15063.729

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Regards,

    Joe

    Hello Joe, :)

Were you able to successfully approve all the prompts in step 7 when merging the .reg file?

As a test, do you see "Take Ownership" in the context menu when you right click on the downloaded .reg file on your desktop from this tutorial?

It seemed after I ran the remove file and then ran the add file, I now have a take ownership on the context menu.

Thank you for your quick reply.

No Write Permissions after Take Ownership

....... after Take Ownnership of C:\Program Files\WindowsApps folder I can view files inside the folder, but can not create or paste inside an app folder.

I need to have full access to this folder:

    C:\Program Files\WindowsApps\50072StevenMayall.MusicBee_3.1.35.0_x86__kcr266et74avj\win32

This is the program install folder and I need to get my saved settings, plugins etc. in there.

Any help on how this can be accomplished would be very much appreciated.

Thanks in advance for any feedback .......
