Hello ths for this it works great on windows 10 pro 64 bit. I would like to have one in serbian language if it's possible. When i right click it should appear as "Преузми власништво", which means "take ownership" in serbian cyrilic. And if would be nice to have an shield icon as well.

Hello @srki, and welcome to Ten Forums. :)

Here's a Serbian version for you.

Hehe i guess you consulted google translate to translate to serbian so probably that's why it is "преузму" instead of "преузми" like it should be. But it is very kind of you to make this and post such quick reply to my request, so if it is trouble for you to make that one little adjustment and make one with text like i asked for there is no problem. Cyrilic is hard to understand. :)

I'm so thankful for this script. After I upgraded to the Windows 10 Creative I started getting this very annoying pop up from Turbo Boost when I would boot in. After some investigating in the BIOS it was turned off but the program was still, apparently, active in some capacity or I would see that. So according to another person on another forum they took ownership of that folder, deleted and rebooted and no pop up.

I have WD external drive attached to Dell laptop (Windows 10). All files created & saved as is. Just received my new Lenovo tablet (Windows 10) & I attached the same external drive to it to install/transfer some files. However I got the no permission errors. So I installed Take Ownership on the tablet & taken ownership of some folders & files. They seemed to work. However, problems occur when I plugged the drive back to the original laptop. They are:

    1) I get No Permission on some folder/files that I've taken ownership on the tablet - now unable to access on the laptop.

    2) Inconsistencies - some folder/files that were taken ownership on the tablet can still be opened on the laptop as per normal while some (see problem no. 1) cannot. Why?

    3) I want to keep the ownership (laptop) and add ownership (tablet) to all the files on the external drive. What I meant is I want to avoid taking ownership every time I plugged the external drive either on the laptop or tablet. I want to be able to access the same files without having to perform taking ownership all the time. How do I go about it?

    Please help. Thank you.

Hello AnotherSotong, and welcome to Ten Forums. :)

If you like, here's a possible workaround:

    1) Temporarily copy the contents of the external drive to another drive.

    2) Format the external drive using FAT32 instead of NTFS so there will be no more permission issues since those only apply to NTFS volumes.

    3) Copy the contents back to the external drive.
