    In that case, please go ahead and create a new thread for this issue in the General Support area to see what we can do to help.

    Sadly this doesn't work on exe files, there's no take ownership option when highlighting an executable.

    Is there any way to fix this?

    Hello umisery, and welcome to Ten Forums.

    You should be seeing "Take Ownership" in the context menu when you right click on an .exe file like below if you merged the downloadable .reg file from step 2 or 3.

    I reinstalled it and now it appears, thanks!

    Another question, is there anyway to get rid of the Powershell window and have the script go straight to CMD?

    @umisery,

    I'm afraid I haven't found a way around the quick PowerShell flash since it's used for elevation (run as administrator) to take ownership. This was done to avoid having to use the "runas" key in the registry instead so it doesn't replace the "Run as administrator" context menu.

    Ah, fair enough. I tried editing existing scripts previously, but they ended up replacing Run As Admin like you said. I guess this will do for now, thanks for the help and useful script :)

    Hey and welcome to the group. Just tried it and "yes" it does. I don't drag and drop much so others that know a lot more than me will definitely be more help.
