Most likely the drive you are using is not formatted NTFS. May be formatted FAT32 or FAT or exFAT. Common with SD micro cards and thumb drives. Only NTFS is a secure file system. If you right click that drive or any files in it, you will not see the Security Tab. I just tried it using a FAT32 formatted thumb drive and my results were:

That must it since the folder I was trying to take ownership of was on a thumb drive.

this doesnt work on systems with languages other than english because this command doesnt work:
Because y stands for yes.Code:takeown /f "Folder" /r /d y
On german systems y is not recognised. For this case the letter j is used, which stands for ja. I dont know if there is a workaround for this problem.

Yes, that's correct. You would just need to change the "y" for "yes" to the first letter (ex: "j") for your language version of yes (ex: "ja").

I'm using a ton of your scripts and regs for a batch loop. But checking all of them for new version is a hard job. I think I'm using 50 or so.

I would like a custom .reg file, to take ownership of the following files and folders. This will allow me to create scripts, to replace things removed every time Microsoft does a new feature upgrade (every six months). I have created medium versions of the following fonts so they will display darker on my 4K monitor with 140 DPI spacing. The Microsoft solution to light gray fonts is High Contrast Mode which in my opinion looks terrible.
