    Hello Sumit,

I noticed the Tablet Mode tile has been removed from the action center for desktops and any device that doesn't have touch capabilities in version 2004.

If this is for a desktop and you only have one display connected, you should still be able to use option 4.

Yeah, if you have multiple displays attached you couldn't use it. Even on a laptop. If I plug in my USB Display Link monitor Tablet mode turns off automatically on my Laptop. For any and all builds before 2004 it did anyway. I gave up trying to use it a while back and haven't tried it recently.

This Dell Latitude 3340 I'm on now running Version 2004 Build 19041.488 still shows the Tablet Mode icon in the Notifications list but doesn't have a Touch Screen. I had it off in Version 1909 but it came back with Version 2004 install, still doing a few cleanups. Seems the Version Upgrades don't like customizations and put Win10 back to some defaults, the Builds don't very often.

hmm I have what I call reverse tablet mode.
when my laptop is in normal/ desktop mode like this

keyboard lights are off, keyboard doesn't work, mouse doesn't work aka tablet mode

but when I open out the screen greater than 180° to go into tablet mode like this

then my keyboard lights up, keyboard now works, laptop mouse/ touchpad now works. It's basically in reverse.

    these are my settings

I deleted that TabletModeActivated entry and restarted, didn't work.

    latest windows

I might have to do a fresh windows install. in the meantime , I'll keep on googling, see if I come with any solutions.

If anyone knows a hack that I can reverse the mode or trigger or whatever, give me a shout. Any help appreciated.

was working fine for the 2 years that I've had the laptop, only today, the keyboard and mouse stopped working, and I figured out that somehow tablet mode is loading on default. Didn't really see any tablet mode option in the bios (will double check) In the meantime I'm just backing up my files, getting ready to do a reinstall of windows and see if that works (if no other working solution of course) cheers.

just an update, I ended up reinstalling windows and it still didn't work.

    but after reading this

    and this

I dug around in my device manager and services, found that disabling TSDTabletControlService turned on the backlight keyboard, and TSDSettingService allowed me to type and use the mouse.

Sometimes I need to have it in tablet mode then switch of TSDSettingService for the keyboard and mouse to work in desktop mode, but I'm glad I got it to work.
just adding this here in case anyone comes up with the same problem.
