    Hello @samerrustom,

I'm sorry to hear about your troubles with BitLocker.

You might see if completely turning off BitLocker for the OS drive and then turning it back on may act as a reset for it to work properly again. Of course, you will need to have physical access to the laptop and down time for the user until finished.

Thank you for your swift reply.

Do you recommend me to deactivate and decrypt the drive then encrypt it again?

somebody mentioned to convert the partion tablet to GPT since I have upgraded the BIOS to UEFT, what is your opinion please?

I would try to decrypt and encrypt again first to see if that may sort the issue.

I would like to ask you if it is mandatory to use GPT with Bitlocker please.

No, that's only for UEFI requirements.

As I mentioned that I have upgraded the firmware BIOS on the laptop to the latest version 2019 but i did not login into the BIOS and changed into UEFI.

That's fine. I'm thinking the BIOS update may have borked something with BitLocker.

Hopefully, decrypting and encrypting again to start over with BitLocker will sort it.

    FYI
I initially used/setup bitlocker prior to XTS-AES or AES-CBC encription ( for an SSD) driveč... it did not hold and it was opened by me haphazardly... so I turned it off. Today I turned it back on (* as more stuff on my drive has become sensitive) and Brink's method worked without a hitch. So thank you again.

This is on a Lenovo 910S, with TPM 2.0, Windows Pro unit.

(( thought it was worth mentioning - as some here have had issues))

Thanks again ( very valuable info)
