    @Brink

it first ask me to enter a pin 6-20 digits. So i have to memorize this every single time? Do i need to enter this everytime i log in or its a password later on?

Because i thought it was only a password i have to remember? Because if its a pin i need to remember each time, im going to make it shorter. If not, im going to make it longer...

Is there a reason it doesn't ask me for password because that is what i want?

Oh wait so i enter the pin number, then after that it ask me to input a password?

But will i need to rmemeber this pin everytime i log in or just the password?

    Thanks.

It sounds like you did step 4 instead of 5 with it asking for PIN.

I guess the only way is to cancel and start completely over right? Doesn't give me option to go back.

    C) In the right pane of Operating System Drives in Local Group Policy Editor, double click/tap on the Require additional authentication at startup policy to edit it. (see screenshot above)

    D) Select Enabled at the top, check the Allow BitLocker without a compatible TPM (requires a password or a startup key on a USB flash drive) box under Options, and go to step 6 below. (see screenshot below)

I went there and enabled the Required additional authentication at startup.

When i did this, the Allow Bitlocker without a compatible TPM automatically got checked so i didnt need to check this. Then i clicked apply.

The 4 options where you could make changes below it... i did not do anything to it. Did i have to here? Doesn't look like it on the screenshot.

when you say set that group back to not configured... its enabled now. But the guide says to set it to enabled though? Im confused because that is what step 5 tells you to do? So omit that step?

As long as the Allow BitLocker without a compatible TPM (requires a password or a startup key on a USB flash drive) box is checked.

What do you see at step 10?

The only difference between step 4 vs step 5 is

    4 wants you to

    D) Select Enabled at the top, and uncheck the Allow BitLocker without a compatible TPM (requires a password or a startup key on a USB flash drive) box under Options. (see screenshot below)

    5 wants you to

    D) Select Enabled at the top, check the Allow BitLocker without a compatible TPM (requires a password or a startup key on a USB flash drive) box under Options, and go to step 6 below. (see screenshot below)

When i did step 5, it was automatically checked so i did not do anything... unless im suppose to do something with the 4 other options below it and change the setting there? But i dont see any of that in the screenshot in the tutorial.
