    Hello Brian,

    That is correct. Whatever is set as the default BitLocker encryption method and cipher strength is only applied when you turn on BitLocker for a drive, and has no affect on a drive already encrypted by BitLocker unless you turn off and on BitLocker for the drive again.

    This is specified in all the turn on/off Bitlocker tutorials, but I added a note in this tutorial to help make sure that is clear.
