It'll be interesting to hear how many others are seeing this as well, and not joined to a domain or has Require Windows Hello sign-in for Microsoft accounts turned on (if available).

It's not really Netplwiz's fault. The root cause is that a clean install turns on Require Windows Hello sign-in for Microsoft accounts by default.
I clean installed version 20H2 last week. I have not joined my PC to a domain. "Require Windows Hello sign-in for Microsoft accounts" is absent from my "Sign-in options", and "Users must enter a user name and password to use this computer" is absent from "netplwiz". How can I use my PC without entering the password?

Netplwiz tick box will not be there if this is on. Turn it off.
I cannot turn it off because it does not exist.

    Code:
    (REG Add "HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\PasswordLess\Device" /V "DevicePasswordLessBuildVersion" /T REG_DWORD /D 0 /F)
@Brink, I just found the above simple solution. One line of command will bring back the option as shown in the following screenshot. Would you consider adding the solution into this tutorial?

    Hello Matthew,

Thank you, but it's already included at the link below in the note box under step 3 and 4 in option 1 here.

Thanks Brink. I just did a clean install on my main system with 20H2 and was at a loss why "control userpasswords2" wasn't working as it should. Your reg file fixed that for me. Thankyou.

You did post this in the disable lock screen tutorial, but your "Users must enter a user name and password to use this Computer" question was not related to that tutorial, so I moved it to the this tutorial where it's related.

Are you wanting to not have to sign in at wakeup?

If so, check using the tutorial below to turn off or disable require sign-on wakeup.

Even with your information my problem has not yet been solved, in my REG does not have some records.

Even doing the process that is in the image did not work to disable the password when entering Windows by "control userpasswords2"

The value "2" will turn on passwordless sign in. You would want to use the value of "0" to turn it off instead like below.

Enable or Disable Passwordless Sign-in for Microsoft Accounts

Afterwards, you should be able to use option 1 below.
