Three clean boots with no automatic login looks good.

    Registry Changing AutoAdminLogon

I have tried option 1, but the checkbox is not available, though I don't believe I am on a domain. Option 1 does work on my two laptops, just not this desktop using Build 17763. Note, this checkbox was not available on this desktop during previous builds either as I tried to get this work over a year ago too.

Option 2 is not working and I see that after following the steps and restarting, I need to enter my Microsoft Account password still, and the AutoAdminLogon key is changed from 1 back to 0, while the DefaultPassword key gets deleted.

Does anyone have any suggestions for next troubleshooting steps?

Hello rootsnharmony, and welcome to Ten Forums.

Do you connect with work or school on the desktop? If so, the check box in netplwiz won't be available.

You can check at Settings > Accounts > Access work or school to see if you are.

    Thank you for replying Brink.
No I do not, and had checked that setting, but it is empty, just the plus sign with no existing connections.

Hmm, I must admit that I'm not sure why the check box would be missing in netplwiz for you then.

If you like, you could try doing a repair install to see if that may fix it without losing anything.

    Hi Brink,
Thanks again for responding. Looks like a bit of a chore, but perhaps I will try. Getting tired of MS updating my PC without my consent and then it sitting there not logged in when I use it as a server at times. If/when I do, I will report if it is successful.
    Cheers.
