just an FYI, anyone try sysinternals autologon?
It works easy peasy
Been using autologon.exe since tweakUI did not run on 7
sysinternals are great tools
OMG, THANK YOU so much!!! Gosh, I spent all frigging day yesterday and this morning, updating to the Creators update, then promptly returning to my previous build (because the new one broke more things than it fixed), used system restore and undid it etc, pulled my hair and bit my nails, literally anything I could think of, in attempt to fix this very annoying problem, until I stumbled upon THIS thread. You, my friend, are an angel! You saved me! Thank you!!!!
One thing I've noticed. If you install with a Local account, then switch to a Microsoft ID. When you run control userpasswords2 and untick the box for "users must enter a password". Your Local Account Name is what is shown and it will try to log you in as a Local Account, and fail. I have to change Kerry to Kerry @ my e-mail or it will fail to auto log me in. That's also I believe when you get the double username entries on the lock screen. One is the your local account the other is the Microsoft ID. The entries look identical though.
I am having mixed success using the registry method with Windows 10 x64 1607 LTSB. Some computers will autologon some will not. The settings are all applying via Group Policy. Out of 43 computers, I can only get 7 to auto-login. Any thoughts?
How can I enable "auto sign in" when I dont use a password.
Basically I've lost the "sign in" screen when using my account without a password and windows automatically signs me in without the sign in page.
