Turn On or Off Recent Items and Frequent Places in Windows 10

So are these folders for Recent and Jumplists or not?

Assume they are NOT for Recent and Jumplists: For which feature/function are they otherwise?

How can I disable the creation of them?
They should be empty ....forever(!) At least after shutdown

One example is items pinned to Quick Access and pinned to Jump Lists are also stored to the %AppData%\Microsoft\Windows\Recent\AutomaticDestinations folder.

Turning off Recent Items and Frequent Places using an option in this tutorial will only prevent them from being stored, and not the above.

Luckily, not pinning anything to Quick Access or to a Jump List will prevent those.

You should be able to use the policy in option 3 or 4 to disable them for all users.
