    thanks for the useful powershell update
    looks like it reset PUA protection in case of major update (for example 1703 -> 1709)

    To test that PUA protection is working, there is now an EICAR test file you can try downloading.

    If you click on this link to the Potentially Unwanted Application ‘test’ file, your system will attempt to download a simulated Potentially Unwanted Application (PUA). This file is NOT actually malicious, but by an industry wide agreement this file is detected as if it were malicious when the option to Block Potentially Unwanted Applications is enabled.
