How to Add or Remove Control Panel context menu in Windows 10

    information   Information
In Windows 10, there are a few different ways to find and change your settings: Settings app, Control Panel, app settings, and search. Most of the settings that you'll want to change can be found in the Settings app.

In Settings, you can change most Windows settings, such as changing your screen resolution, adding and removing devices, personalizing the lock screen, changing the date and time, and adding user accounts.

The Control Panel includes some additional settings that you might use less often, such as customizing the desktop.

This tutorial will show you how to add or remove a cascading Control Panel desktop context menu with the Control Panel (Category), All Control Panel Items (Icons), and All Tasks (God mode) items for all users in Windows 10.

While you must be signed in as and administrator to be able to add or remove the Control Panel context menu, all users will be able to use the context menu.

    That's it,
    Shawn

Hi Brink. I would like to add Control Panel to This PC Window and the Control Panel flyout menu to This PC Right click.

If I wanted to add the flyout menu to My Computer Right Click, then, in the above reg file, would I replace every instance of
    [HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\DesktopBackground\Shell\ControlPanel] with
    [HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\{20D04FE0-3AEA-1069-A2D8-08002B30309D}\shell\ControlPanel], right?

Now, if I wanted to add just a control panel Icon to This PC, Folders heading, then I would modify the registry file to

    [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\MyComputer\NameSpace]

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\MyComputer\NameSpace\{21EC2020-3AEA-1069-A2DD-08002B30309D}] for icons view or use {26EE0668-A00A-44D7-9371-BEB064C98683} for category view, with DescriptionID = 3, right? Thanks!

Great. I will try the modifications out tonight when I get home. I just realized you have a separate tutorial on Adding Control Panel to This PC Window. I have another question about that one so I will ask there. Thanks!
