Brink - do your steps continue to work in the latest Win 10 (after Anniversary and all current updates)?
Also, will I lose, for example, Start menu links to my recently installed Office 365 Home?
Finally, do these steps change only Start or also other things, like toolbars or what shows at the bottom?
    Thanks again.
    Hello glnz, :)

This will only affect items on the Start screen. This would include items pinned to Start and tiles. It won't affect any links in the Start menu on the left side.

The tutorial is amazing, it works, thanks. However, it doesn't only reset the Start Menu, but also the UWP Apps installed from Windows Store. It does pretty scary when I run UWP Apps, but there's nothing on my Taskbar, Task View, and Alt + Tab.

I'm not sure what you meant by "pretty scary" for what it's doing.

    Hello Brink,

My start menu tile layout got crashed after upgrade to the latest Windows 10 Home lnsider Preview
    Microsoft Windows [Version 10.0.16237.1001]

I tried all your steps with dual local administrator account, but there is no TileDataLayer folder under my %LocalAppData%

I also tried Export-StartLayout and Import-StartLayout in the elevated Windows PowerShell Command Prompt as well as made as per guide in Reinstall and Re-register Apps in Windows 10 Windows 10 Performance Maintenance Tutorials to noavail.

I am not using Start Menu and Tiles much, mostly use Win+R and command prompt window, but I dont like inconsistent way of Microsoft doing UI. A simple menu layout fix requires lots of tweaks and tricks.

Could you please look into the problem again and give me some hints?

    Thank you in advance.
