    How to Add or Remove 'Burn disc image' Context Menu in Windows 10

    Burn disc image allows you to burn a ISO or IMG file to a DVD as a bootable DVD.

    This tutorial will show you how to add or remove the Burn disc image context menu from ISO and IMG files for all users in Windows 10.

    You must be signed in as an administrator to be able to add or remove the Burn disc image context menu.


    EXAMPLE: "Burn disc image" context menu

    Here's How:

    1. Do step 2 (add) or step 3 (remove) below for what you would like to do.


     2. To Add "Burn disc image" to Context Menu of ISO and IMG files

    NOTE: This is the default setting.

    A) Click/tap on the Download button below to download the file below, and go to step 4 below.

    Add_Burn_disc_image_context_menu_for_ISO_IMG.reg

    Download


     3. To Remove "Burn disc image" from Context Menu of ISO and IMG files

    A) Click/tap on the Download button below to download the file below, and go to step 4 below.

    Remove_Burn_disc_image_context_menu_for_ISO_IMG.reg

    Download

    4. Save the .reg file to your desktop.

    5. Double click/tap on the downloaded .reg file to merge it.

    6. If prompted, click on Run, Yes (UAC), Yes, and OK to approve the merge.

    7. You can now delete the downloaded .reg file if you like.

    These reg-keys are not present on my Win10 1809 , this contextmenu-item remains present , after removing also............!
    What to do , coz its a useless item for us , we want to keep our contextmenus tight and not bloated...........

    Hello,

    What file type are you right clicking on that still shows the "Burn disc image" context menu after merging the Remove_Burn_disc_image_context_menu_for_ISO_IMG.reg file from step 3?

    It should remove the context menu immediately for .iso and .img file types.

    "Burn to disc" is a separate context menu than this "Burn disc image" context menu.

    "Burn to disc" is not affected by this tutorial, but the tutorial below should disable and remove it.

    Again thanks a lot , this enable/disable ( from Win7/8) did the job !
    Another useless context-item removed , while Im still able to rightclick on "open with" , which leads me to the burning-software , I want to use for burning the CD/DVD............
