I install Windows 10 Education than enter Audit Mode did all the stuff I wanted to do and than SysPrep it. The system never took my changes or even Desktop look and feel. I had Copy Profile True in my XML file Still I'm a little ??? on what to do next. I have try many different ways to look at the issue but still no go in terms of making it work.
Hi all, while attempting sysprep I got a few errors (logged in Panther) which I could not explain (i.e. Sysprep would not finish). Maybe others can benefit from this info, one linked helped in particular:
SysPrep Windows 10 Pro Error (0x0f0070 0x0f00d8) - Server Fault
what basically happened: somewhere along preparing Windows etc, I installed something/deleted something that caused Errors, in my case language packs. Once deleted in powershell sysprep worked :)
Hi guys, I have a problem that I can not solve.
If I enable the default administrator profile, after executing the sysprep, in any user is created, after to the first login as administrator, I can no longer set the default program settings, proxy settings, cortana does not work and other problems.
The problems only occurs for new users and whether you set copyprofile to true, or if you set it to false, in the unattend file..
You have some ideas to solve this problem?
Sorry for my English.
Thanks
I've been using this tutorial for a few versions of Win 10 Enterprise including 1709 and the previous two. I just tried using for Win 10 1803 Enterprise and I cannot get passed the OOBE when trying to install my new image.
I keep getting the following errors during the OOBE setup on a fresh install with my new image:
1. I get this one while setting up a local account instead of an online account. I fill in the username, create a password, do the security question answers. It starts with its "Just a moment" then after a bit I get this:
"Something went wrong. You can try again or skip for now. OOBELOCALHELLO"
Trying again just keeps giving this error so I hit skip:
Just a moment comes up then it goes to Make Cortana....
I hit no.
Just a moment again.
Then I get to the settings page for privacy settings. I pick my settings and hit accept and get the next error, which no matter what I cannot get past and my image is basically useless. This error is:
"Something went wrong. You can try again or skip for now. OOBESETTINGS"
Now, If I attempt to shutdown and start again, when I go to create my user account and enter the same name, it says it already exists and to enter a different name. If I do that and go through again, I still get the same two errors.
I'm extremely frustrated and appreciate any help figuring this out. I never had these issues using this tutorial for previous builds of Windows 10 Enterprise including 1709.
It's better to completely automate OOBE, bypassing all OOBE dialogs simply by taking care of them in answer file. See this tutorial, Step Three shows how to prepare unattend.xml for automated OOBE: Create media for automated unattended install of Windows 10 | Windows 10 Tutorials
