That is unfortunate. Thank you for the help, I shall see if I can get the secondary tiles working with IE though I do not have high hopes. There has got to be some concrete reason for why my default layout breaks in the manner it does.

For those interested I will show the whole process told in this tutorial in a live demonstration in a Ten Forums Online Meeting. The event will start Saturday 30-APR-2016 at 20:00 (8 PM) CEST (Central European Summer Time), 18:00 (6 PM) UTC.

Meeting will be a Skype for Business online meeting, you can join with text chat or audio and webcam, as you wish. No participation from your side is necessary, if you want to just watch and listen it's totally OK. The demonstration will take about an hour, with Q&A. Afterwards we will continue off topic as in our traditional TF Saturday Live Chats :)
You do not need a Ten Forums, Skype, Skype for Business, Microsoft or any other account to join as a guest. You can join from any browser or use the Windows Lync App, see tutorial: Lync App - Join an Online Meeting as Guest - Windows 10 Forums
The meeting will go online half an hour before the start, at which point the link to the meeting will be posted in this thread.

A bit more information about today's live event:
- We will set up a technician machine to install Windows, customize it and install software. I will use a Hyper-V virtual machine for this but everything done can be done on a real physical machine or any other virtualization software as well
- When done, we will use Windows System Preparation Tool (Sysprep) to create a customized Windows image
- We will capture the image (create a system image)
- We will then deploy (install) Windows to other machines using our customized image
