So you're saying it copied the profile without CopyProfile?

So I downloaded Enterprise from Volume Licensing Service Center and it is Build 10240, it won't create the catalog file. Is anyone else experiencing this?

I went back to my VM, before updates, downloaded KB "X86_AMD64-all-windows10.0-kb3081444-x64...msu", installed, restarted. Ran "Sysperep.exe /generalize /oobe"; did not include unattend.xml this time. Deployed the OS with an Unattend.xml that only contains the 4 Specialize <CopyProfile>True</CopyProfile> section from WSIM. A new account did in fact replicate the copyprofile settings, but, search bar is still broken with KB3081444.

Also noticed when trying to save something to the Desktop specifically, I'm met with an error stating:
"Location is Not available, C:\Users\Administrator\Desktop is not accessible Access is denied."
Almost seems like new profiles haven't fully cut ties with the Admin one that's being used as the default profile template.
For me CopyProfile true is really messing up my Win10 image. It worked great in 7 and 8.1. Hope it's fixed sometime soon.

Sysprep works (almost) perfectly in 10532, at least when the initial installation is done without a network connection. CopyProfile works with a small glitch: when the end user boots to desktop first time, the Quick Access shows link to the built-in admin's desktop instead of the current user's desktop. Simply delete the admin desktop and add the user's desktop to Quick Access to fix this.

Of course this is not good for deployment, I am currently working with this to find if not a solution but a workaround, at least.

I will post a video of the process later tonight or tomorrow.

    That's mostly good news.

I am astounded that the two issues (a) having network enabled during installation and (b) the "Desktop" Quick Access always pointing to the Administrator's desktop are both still issues. They have both been reported for several builds in the Windows Feedback app, and there seems to be no movement on them.

Those are both pretty serious issues for enterprise deployment.

Has anyone tried taking a 10240 RTM build, putting it into Audit Mode, updating to 10532 via an ISO, and then running Sysprep with /generalization and /oobe? I am curious if this would all work.

I'd try myself, but I don't have the equipment with me right now.

But I just removed the Copyprofile, and everything works. Guess you dont need the copyprofile, when you created the image in auditmode.
So you removed the CopyProfile XML file from Sysprep folder, captured the image, deployed it and the profile configuration was inherited for new profiles?.. Are you deploying the image via SCCM?

I'm going to start cooking my custom 10 image here pretty shortly, hate to have to go through the trial and error like I did to figure out how to get the Start Screen customized.... Ugh.... Just remembered I'm back to square one with 10 and syncing over the Start Screen layout. Balls.
By any chance have you figured out how to get the Start Menu customized in conjunction with CopyProfile? It really is a pain, having to go through all the trial and error, and endless Technet articles with every release!
