Yes it shouldve already been removed because i completed option six of removing the password through commandprompt. All of the commands that i put in succeeded so i think it worked.

But what do i do now to log into my windows account?

Are you able to sign in to your account without 'Password incorrect, please try again'?

If not, then you can sign in to the built-in "Administrator" account, to remove your account's password.

You could try option 4 (local account) or 5 (Microsoft account) below to reset the password of your account at sign-in.

If not and you are unable to sign in to any administrator account on the computer, then you may be looking at having to clean install Windows to start over.

I just don't understand how it is possible. I only have a few passwords and none of them work. I just tried to log in an afternoon and it just didnt let me login.

The only option I have is to Reset my password with a recovery disk which i don't have.

How do i clean install Windows to start over then?

Before going the clean install route, check to see if your account is a local account or a Microsoft account. A clean install will not help with the password for a Microsoft account.

Perhaps your keyboard layout is corrupted and you are not typing in the passwords you think you are typing in?

    Dear Brink
Thanks yet again for clear help.
I had a problem with Option 1, Elevated Command prompt. On entering "net user administrator /active:yes" (or with capital A for administrator), I get the response: "The user name could not be found.

But options 3 & 4, Local Users and Local Groups both seem to work just fine.
Thanks again, ardj. (W10 ver 21H2 Pro)

    ardj,

1 Check that you were issuing that command in an elevated command prompt.

2 Please run this command and post its output
    Code:
    Net user
You do not need elevation to use this command.

    All the best,
    Denis

    @Dennis

    1. Yes, I did run the Command Prompt as Administrator - it's almost second nature

    2. Output from Net User - for some reason, I can't copy and paste here so not formatted correctly, but briefly:

    User accounts for \\mypcname

    adj Administrator
DefaultAccount Invité [sorry, bleeding M-s*t insists that it is in France]
    The command completed successfully
