How to Pin Recycle Bin to Taskbar in Windows 10

The Recycle Bin provides a safety net when deleting files or folders. When you delete any of these items from your hard disk, Windows places it in the Recycle Bin and the Recycle Bin icon changes from empty to full.

This tutorial will show you how to pin to taskbar the Recycle Bin as a toolbar with the Empty Recycle Bin context menu for your account in Windows 10.

The Recycle Bin pinned to the taskbar will show the empty and full status icon.

    OPTION ONE

To Add Recycle Bin to Taskbar

1 Create a New Folder on your desktop, and name it Recycle Bin.

2 Drag and drop the Recycle Bin desktop icon into the new Recycle Bin folder to create a shortcut inside the Recycle Bin folder. (see screenshot below)

3 Move the new Recycle Bin folder to where you want to keep it saved at. For example, inside my Documents folder. (see screenshot below)

If you move this Recycle Bin folder afterwards, it will break the Recycle Bin toolbar on your taskbar.

    Hello Steven, :)

I suppose to use a small icon instead at step 7B in Option One then.

I'm not aware of a way to do so when using the large icon for the Recycle Bin toolbar.

I'm not getting the delete option. Also, pressing the delete button on the keyboard doesn't help.
