You can also select the folders below to be backed up (aka: moved and synced) to OneDrive.

Thanks.
Within that tutorial, Option 3, step 3, those are not the panels being offered in 10. As per my original post only three locations are offered, documents, desktop and pictures. No way to add a library. Even within the 11 panels downloads are not offered. (and my Onedrive has 1TB of storage.)
and I'm thick. Is backing up just another way of saying syncing.
Do appreciate the help working through this.
Syncing is basically just syncing a folder already in the OneDrive folder.
Backing up a folder would move the contents of the folder to a folder in the OneDrive folder to then sync.
I think your best option would be the sync any folder method for the folders in the libraries you want to sync.
Thanks for the explanation on sync / backup. That makes sense, the move element.
Did you check the panels I mentioned. Does 11 actually have more Libraries that you can turn on or off in backup or has MS restricted the backup library options to the ones I mentioned.
Sync any folder does seem to be an option. Seems to be a functionality gap in Onedrive. Should be an option to merge this PC with an existing onedrive account.
Thanks again for the support.
Thanks Brink.
I meant this window. In 10 it does not have all these locations. At least mine doesn't. Just documents, pictures and desktop.

Yep, Windows 10 doesn't have all of them available.
About all you can do is use the method below to backup/sync a folder not listed for Windows 10.
Sync Any Folder to OneDrive in Windows 10
So I found this hard to believe so I started OneDrive on a new installation of Windows 11.
They are the same three locations.
The graphics should be updated in the tutorial. MS has actually reduced the functionality.
Still I wonder how the Sync any folder would work with a library like Music. Once you delete the Onedrive folder so you can make link will it merge Music from "This PC" with what is already on Onedrive. As I said way back I saw a solution that suggested using "Move".
Consider this closed please. I would go back and check graphics, my 11 doesn't have all those locations.
Appreciate the help Shawn.
Actually, Microsoft added functionality in W11 for the backup folder options. They just didn't add it to W10 yet.
I'd just move all the music files into the Music folder in your OneDrive folder to have them all sync.
You can then include the OneDrive > Music folder to the Music Library if wanted.
Thanks. My window does show the same libraries as this graphic from the tutorial.
Must just be my Win 11 new install. Thanks again for the help.
