Awesome and very detailed guide yet again.
Hey mate, :)
Are you able to use any of the other options to disable hibernate?
You might see if restarting the computer may allow you to afterwards.
I think i covered all four of them,
registry manually
download and merge reg file
copy and paste powercfg -h off in elevated cmd
via power options-plan.
What process could be holding hiberfil to be accessed,as stated in TreeSize? (second snippet)
Excellent thinking, restarted, didnt make it to safe mode (damn them SSD's are fast),gave it a shot whilst "wide open",no error, hibernation and its file gone.
Great to have you by our side, thanks for the quick response and help, bless you Admin!
Since I have 16 GB of physical memory, disabling hibernation saved me 12 GB of valuable space on my boot drive.
Thank you!
Thanks again.
I wonder whether hibernation is always turned on by default on all new installations.
