Hide or Show Search Box or Search Icon on Taskbar in Windows 10

I also tried changing the language, but it didn't make any difference

I must admit that I'm not sure why you do not have "Show search box" in the context menu.

Where did you get you copy of Windows 10 from?

You might consider a clean install of Windows 10 to see if that may sort it.

I downloaded from the "Media Creation Tool". I thought about it but it's not worth the trouble ^^:)

Well, your taskbar is not full where it would show the icon instead of search box.

What do you mean by not a full taskbar? I have an English copy.

Some have reported that if the taskbar was full the search box would automatically switch to the search icon until more space was available on the taskbar.

Quite frankly, I'm not sure why you two do not have "Show search box" in the context menu.

I've seen on other forums people saying the same thing (actual windows forums).... the fixes came from your site actually, which is what led me here.

I found the solution....... Get ready for this......

Go into your toolbar settings and uncheck use small icons.... Took me a windows format to figure that out when we set it back to small icons it disappeared.... You can credit David Strausser with the fix :) lol Funny, huh?
