    Hello Brink,

    Thanks for the warm welcome.

I tested Option Two and confirmed that it does indeed work (well, at least for me). My edition of Windows is Windows 10 Professional, x64, April 2018 update.

In order to test, I opened the Registry Editor, and went to the key HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Advanced and the value ShowTaskViewButton was not present at all ( and this is a fresh install ). So what I did was to add a "New DWORD Value" by hand. Then, as I wanted to hide the Task View button, I set the value data to zero. Then, I used Task Manager to restart Windows Explorer. And when it restarted, the Task View button went away.

    Thanks again!

    Yours,

    Brian

Hello Brian, and welcome to Ten Forums.

It appears that Option Three no longer works, so I have removed it.
Great, thank you. I ended up doing Option Two and that one seems to work just fine.
