    Hello unko, :)

The added Favorites will not show in the navigation pane under Quick Access, but only in the Quick Access window.

Thanks Brink. This is then useless to me. I want the folders AND shortcuts of my choice to show up in explorer left pane, so i can either access these or drop files/folder on them. How can i do that?

    unko,

You could "Pin to Quick access" your %UserProfile%\Links folder to do this though.

That's for location, right. However for shortcuts of apps and script, what can i do? Is there a way that can display them, so i can drop things onto?

Correct. Only locations can be pinned to Quick access and show under its navigation pane.

I suppose you could pin a new folder to Quick access, and place all your shortcuts in it to make it easier to access.

But I still can drop files onto my shortcut without opening a new window!

Yes, you would be dropping them into a folder.

However, drag and dropping to thin links in the navigation pane is a risky proposition. Dragging and dropping into wide open folder windows, yeah, but the navigation pane...... eh!
Just a slip of the finger I've accidentally dropped many a file into the wrong folder and had to go hunting for them!
'Cut and Paste', or 'Move To'/'Copy To' in the right click menu is safer!

I do that for year. Multiple purpose. I really need to keep the ability of dropping things on my scripts, such time gain!

    Brink,

I hope you don't mind but shouldn't the tutorial by called
Add or Remove chosen folders from Quick Access in Windows 10
since the word Favorites is not used for this anywhere in Windows 10?

I appreciate that any change would have to be followed through in the tutorial's text as well.

    All the best,
    Denis
