    Hello Debbie, :)

It would make sense that your "Desktop" folder would be considered a folder that is frequently opened since it is the folder used by your desktop.

When the "Desktop" folder is added back as a frequent folder in quick access, is it still unpinned?

I don't have 'Show recently used' or 'Show frequently used' ticked in the Folder Options and don't want either of those ticked. So that's likely why I had to manually 'unpin' it. But no matter, I can put up with it.

Is there any way of removing frequent folders but still pinning stuff to quick access?

    Hey mate, :)

Luckily, this will not affect anything you have pinned to Quick access. You will still be able to pin other items to Quick access as well.

I think you may have misinterpreted question. If you unpin everything, the frequents folder listing on right hand panel screen disappears. However if you pin something it comes back.

I want to be able to pin folders but not have the frequents folder listing reappearing. I know I can collapse frequent folder listing.

I really see no point of it when I have folders pinned on left hand panel.

    Yep, I misunderstood your question.

I'm not aware of a way to not have the frequent folders section show while anything is pinned to quick access.

I love the recent files feature. Does anyone know how to expand recent files from it's current 22 limit?

I'd like to increase it to about 50 recent files.

Hello Frank, and welcome to Ten Forums.

If you like as a workaround, you could pin the C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Recent Items folder to Quick Access to make it easy to open and see all your recent items.

Is there no other way arround it? I mean like registry tweaking or such so there will be more files shown or Folder shown on quick access? It's really handy if it's directly shown on the quick access rather using recent items or recent folders.

    Thanks

    Yes, it's a registry setting.
