You're most welcome John. I'm glad it's going well so far. :)
I wish there were true. When I installed Windows 10 I chose "Canadian English", but of course somewhere in the settings Windows also uses default US English. I've tried several suggestion promising to remove the "ENG" in the taskbar, but it reappears after every Windows 10 v1607 startup.
Every time I reboot, the ENG reappears and I have to right-click the Taskbar, select Settings (or search 'Taskbar settings'), click the link to "Turn system icons on/off" and toggle "Input Indicator" off . If I ever do a clean install I will select the default language and the problem will likely disappear.
The Volume control on this panel is locked in the off position. The Local Group Template policy to hide the volume icon is already disabled? What locks this control? and Why? It was fine yesterday. Then, the icon just disappeared.
Hello ineuw,
"Not configured" is the default setting for the group policy. Does setting it to that return the Volume icon for you?
