You're welcome. If you have a friend that will let you connect to their Internet, that would be a good option to use if you like.

Having the exact same issue with my Lenovo Yoga Tab 2. Typing in tablet mode is extremely frustrating as it doesn't do the following:

    - Won't capitalize the first letter in a starting sentence
    - Zero auto-correct of mispelled words
    - No predictive words shown (this is probably because I had "send text to microsoft" turned off so I just turned that on)
    - doesn't correct simple things like adding an apostrophe when I type "dont"

Very painful. Attached are my settings, any help would be great!

    Hello pbc, :)

Do you have options to select from when you right click on the word underlined in red as misspelled?

Yes, if there is a red line on a misspelled word I can right click to see options (not sure how to do it when in table mode though.. :) ).

But still do not get any predictions or suggestions, nor does it capitalize/insert apostrophe, etc.

    Thanks!

so i have gone a few days now after changing the settings to allow Microsoft to see how i type...but stoll not getting any predictions or automatic word corrections (hence rhe mosspellings and non capitalzed wordsin rhisn post by way of example).

is this simply the case of a horrible touch keyboard or do others actually get autpmatic capitalozaion, auto correct of mispelled words etc?

really renders typing on this tabley useless and frustrating.

Hi Shawn, in participating in a recent thread I've found this spelling feature is only applicable to universal apps, not desktop programs. Another member confirms this is stated in various places in the forum. Nor does it seem to apply when typing a search string in Edge (which in one way seems quite reasonable).

Could you confirm this, and if so, would it be appropriate to amend the first statement "Windows 10 includes a spell checking feature for when you type words anywhere in Windows 10."? Thanks.

It works for me in Internet Explorer and some of the other included desktop apps (ex: notepad) in Windows 10.

Hmm, thanks. Guess you're lucky. No matter, I never really missed it until I came across a question about it...
