If you had your files/folders unhidden the install.esd should be in this location: C:\$Windows.~BT\Sources

It's been there every time I get an update and when I use @Kari tool it works fine.. just like it did with build 14383.

If you need the ESD let me know.
I was being too impatient ie looking for install.esd after immediately after download had completed - I assume the install.esd is created from the downloaded iso. After a few minutes file was there.

    Hello.
I just completed my first attempt to create an ISO from an ESD file.
I followed the instructions to the letter and then used Rufus 2.9.934 to burn the ISO to a 32GB USB flash drive.
Then I attempted to boot from that flash drive and it displayed this message...

ESD to ISO - Create Bootable ISO from Windows 10 ESD File-img_3230.jpg

Any idea what is going on here? I'm doing this to get ready for the Anniversary Edition.
    Thanks.

Correction: I did not disable my AV (BitDefender) before proceeding. How much of a difference would this make?

Are you trying to upgrade or clean install?

Specifically I'm just trying to get some experience in doing this procedure. I've never made a bootable thumb drive before.
When the time comes I will probably use it for a clean install.

You'll only need the bootable drive for a clean install. You can directly upgrade from the desktop with the ISO.
