Just a minor thing. I am used to creating ISOs from ESD using the command prompt. And everytime I do, I get an error due to spelling issues because "install.esd" is now "Install.esd" with a capital "I". :)

I'll try to fix that in next update.

I have no issues in doing like this:

    • Copy the install.esd from $WINDOWS.~BT\Sources folder to my desktop, to folder ESD where I have extracted the tool, replacing possible earlier install.esd file in that folder
    • Right click the tool in ESD folder, run as admin

That's it. If the folder where you start the tool only contains one install.esd file, regardless if written with lower or upper case i, it automatically picks that ESD file.

Works just fine, Kari. I made the ISO and used it to clean install 14367. No hitches. Thanks.

FWIW, I got this error today (build 14371), I vaguely remember it from sometime last year but don't remember its importance.

Not a single machine on my network has got the upgrade yet. I can't test before I get the upgrade. In the mean time my recommendation is to copy the ESD to a safe place and let Windows upgrade, or search Internet for an alternative tool.

I think it has something to do with a path that's kind of long. Try, say, "c:\Folder".

If it helps, I just create the 14371 ISO without errors.
