Hello @GhostNappa, there is a bit of confusion here (which I added to so sorry - and especially to @Kari).

The point of this tutorial is not to convert ANY file that happens to have a .esd suffix but only those as described in the tutorial.

So, if you got your .esd as described in this turorial then you can convert it using the tool described.

However, if you download an ISO through the MCT then you'll have a different form of .esd which doesn't require any decoding (it isn't encrypted) or if you downloaded an ISO from TechBench it will have a .wim.

In this case this tutorial is not for you. It took me a long time to understand this - this tutorial is only for what it says it does.

Not decrypting things that are not encrypted, just decrypting things that are... @Kari, hope that is correct now)

So how would I go about fixing the issue error ox800f081f

also my Install.esd seems to be damaged, because the decrypt works until I put the install.esd into the same folder or direct it to it. Is there any possible fix for this? I've tried reinstalling windows, but everything comes back the same. I do not wish to format my drive, as it would take forever to do so.

if I run DISM, the error pops up. If I run sfc /scannow there is another corrupted errors that cannot be fixed, including a opencl.dll corrupted file in my sfc.details.txt.

These are pretty much all the problems i'm having, if anyone can help that would be appreciated.

    Thanks in advance

I feel like i've tried everything it's really beginning to get the best of me

Maybe I'm missing something, but if you've re-installed Windows, you must have an ISO. Why are you trying to crate another one? Opencl.dll can be ignored. If you are trying to run DISM with a "ESD" format ISO file, it will fail. Only "WIM" format ISO will work with DISM repair. Again, why are you trying to create an ISO? A little confused... Tomcat.

    When I run sfc /scannow

I get Windows Resource Protection found corrupt files but was unable to fix some of them."

This essentially led me to using
    dism /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth
    W
    Which produced error ox800f081f

After further research I found that, the fix was doing this tutorial. I did this tutorial and read all comment got up until ready to run decrypt as administrator and found out that my install.esd is damaged.

Idk about the opencl.dll, I think it has something to do with my graphics card which has been behaving strangely recently.

This was from a brand new ISO that you just downloaded?

Sorry. I was running the DISM command to access the corrupted file and not the file I downloaded from the mounted ISO.

THANK YOU SO MUCH, it worked. Been working on this problem for I don't know how many days. Even the Opencl.dll fixed because of this!!!

One more thing if I may ask, I know it might not be relevant but the computer now says Checking for media present...no media present when starting up..
No big issues with this but it's annoying to see. It's not set as my main start up in BIOS do you know how to fix this?

    Thanks in advance
