Hello Clayton, :)
It's worth a try to see. Just be sure to back up your favorites first.
Thanks. I do the Export to the .html file anytime I change anything in Favorites. Don't know if I'll try it or not. Edge doesn't do this regularly, but by "spells". I'm it it a lot and can not see any predicable or repeatable pattern. I'll let you know if I do.
No I didn't. That particular thing went away just like it came on. They bug me too.

I've been wondering what is causing my Reliability History to have the following continuous Edge error. In use I'm not aware of any issue.
I wonder if things have changed with Edge (1809 clean install) as I have tried all methods of resetting beginning with the simple option within Edge settings of 'Repair' and following that the more drastic 'Reset'. I then moved on to this TUT and the other one of 'Reinstall and Re-register'.

I'm finding that not only do none of these seem to correct my issue, they also do not reset Favourites, Passwords, Favourite Cookies and so on.
This shows my adventure. Edge knows when I've done something and always says that Fav's and Passwords have been reapplied.
I did a restart after each little experiment and as you can see by the timestamps in image 1, the problem consistently remains. Even after running your Powershell script Edge still resets back to how I had it, favourites, tab layout, login details etc etc.
And after resetting Edge from within Edge Settings.

Hello Mooly,
Something has changed in Microsoft Edge.
I've also noticed that the personal stuff like Favorites don't get cleared anymore.
I thought it may have been from sync settings below turned on, but it's still the same even when turned off.

Thanks Shawn. It seems MS keep moving the goalposts, which I suppose is to be expected really.
Would you have any idea what the errors actually are that I see in Edge ? I get one error each time the PC boots. Lol, MS must have a room full of my error reports by nowalthough beyond the reliability history being effected I not aware of any operational issues at all, in fact 1809 has been the best experience of any for me.
If it means anything, this is a typical error report. (Just curious really as to what is happening)

It shows a stackhash error.
Since you already tried resetting and reinstalling Microsoft Edge, you might see if doing a repair install may sort it instead.

I might try that at some point as a repair install is something I've never tried on any system (and I did keep the install media as it happens). Once 1809 is re-released I'm sure I'll reinstall again anyway but it could be fun to try it non the less.
Thanks again![]()
