Hello mrapi, and welcome to Ten Forums. :)

Please provide more details on how Cortana is still present.

Please read the blue note box at the top of the tutorial to see if that is what you mean by Cortana is still present.

Just to verify, did you restart the computer afterwards to apply?

That is normal. Please read the blue note box at the top of the tutorial. What you're seeing is for "Windows Search" and not "Cortana" despite the name of the process.

I must admit that I don't see any reason for why Cortana isn't working for you so far.

If you like, you could try doing a repair install of Windows to see if that may be able to fix Cortana.

Thank you for this excellent guide; it's the only thing that's worked for me on the Fall Creators Update (1709)! Much appreciated, Shawn. You're a wizard.

I was able to disable Cortana in old version, but now in a W10 Home ( ver. 1709 ) I cannot find the folder "Windows Search" where I must have AllowCortana key

    Hello Luca, :)

The registry key and value is not there by default.

If you like, you can download and merge the .reg file in step 3 of Option 2 to add and disable Cortana for you.
