    So neither of these options works anymore. I tried the 'automated' process, neither of which worked. I then tried manually disabling Personalize in the Registry Editor. I was able to disable the program by inserting a '-' before the default string of Data, which left Personalize on the desktop context menu, but basically wouldn't allow anybody to access the program itself. Any ideas?

    Hello Anton, :)

    The tutorial still works just fine, but it has to be followed completely step by step to do so.

    I did follow it step by step. This is the only context menu tutorial with which I've had trouble. On another note, the one you have posted on sevenforums.com is indeed working.

    You were referring to an automated and manual method in the tutorial, but they are not separate methods. That's what made me think that you may not have done all the steps since all steps have to be done except to select either step 8 or 9. Is that what you did?

    Please also clarify what you meant by "wouldn't allow anybody to access the program itself." to see what that they may have been for. :)

    Well, at first I tried using just Step 8 and Step 9 (the "automatic" methods). Since that didn't work, I tried doing Step 1-7 and then manually adding a '-' to the default string under Data in the Registry Editor. But I just tried the "automated" methods again, and they are indeed working, so you were right! I know this isn't the place, so I'm going to send you a personal message regarding removing two other context menu options ('Cut' and 'Create shortcut') for files and folders.

    Thank you for clearing up everything! Any idea as to how I would remove 'Cut' and 'Create shortcut' from the context menus of files and folders?!

    You're most welcome. :)

    I'm not sure about the other question, but that should be posted as a new thread in the Customization forum area to see if you may get a solution.

    @Brink,

    Add_or_remove_the_context_menu_item_[Personalize].zip

    The above ZIP file contains a batch script and NSudo.
    It lets users add or remove "Personalize" in the same way as option 1 in the tutorial below:
    Remove Display settings from Desktop Context Menu in Windows 10

    Can it be added into this tutorial?
