    @Brink,

    Might I suggest that you refer to MaloK's excellent Computer Management>Disk Management Post #4 as a means of saving the Disk mgmt. layout in its column-widened form for subsequent everyday use.

    All the best,
    Denis

    Oh dear. I'd never realised what that tutorial was about.

    If you ever need to edit it, please consider using Disk mgmt. column adjustments as your example because everybody who uses Disk mgmt. has to do them.

    ??? Are we talking at cross-purposes???
    Create Custom MSC in Microsoft Management Console in Windows is still about altering Device mgr views [in its Step 7, it could instead show Disk mgmt. column widths being widened as instructed in this current tutorial].
    I think that everybody who uses Disk mgmt. widens those columns at some stage so using that as your example would give the tutorial real impact.

    It applies to all MMCs. Device Manager was just an example in the tutorial.

    I added step 11 to adjust the width of the columns and panes in the MMC to help.

    in response to NavyLCDR's advice.

    The link to this tutorial was just to show you the method of making the screenshot.

    Best of luck,
