May it be a problem that I have dual boot (Windows 10 and Linux Cinnamon 17.2)?
Otherwise the version of Windows 10 is 1511 build 10586.839 and the operation sysyem is on a SSD.
I've heard of problems with both situations, 1.) Having a dual boot no matter the secondary OS and 2.) Having win10 on a SSD both of which are curable but unfortunately out of my pay grade because of my newness with win10 , but I'll alert other members on a different thread to see if any of them can help you so hang in there.

In the mean time it would help if you would fill in your system specs while your waiting: System Specs - Fill in at Ten Forums

It the meantime I have uninstalled Linux (I had lot of trouble to make the remaining Windows bootable again). Now I can boot to safe mode but have no internet connection there. The update still fails.
Is there a way to see the log file (result) of Reset_Reregister_Windows_Update_Components.bat to see if everything goes well? The window closes too quickly.

No networking in safe mode? I'm assuming you did pick that option, that's weird. That would indicate that you may also have problems with networking while in a normal boot. Ergo, problems with the update.

Can you get onto the internet while in a normal session? And if you can does it run okay or do you have problems; Browser not responding, slowness, hung pages?

'Bout that log file; You could add some cmd's to it to create a log and send it to your desktop, but unless Brink would okay and re-write it, you would do so at your own risk. You might bring this to his attention by sending him a VM [visitor message].

    Here's one thread from the sister-site 7F: https:// Logging bat files, how? | www.sevenforums.com
And a google search: https://see the log of a .bat file | www.google.com/search?

But remember you're on your own if you forge ahead.

p.s. I see there were no helpers yet from my posting a "More help requested ticket" but hang in there weekends are notorious for being slow.

    @zagor,

If you like, here's a version that includes a pause at the end to leave the command prompt open for you to review what it did.

    Thanks Shawn.

This is more for zagor. When I went to look at what Shawn had added I downloaded the file an ran a malware scan which I do with any file I download, I don't care who it's from, no offense Shawn.

Then when I right clicked on it and clicked on edit, win10's smartscreen warning popped up and I had to click on more info to get to the button to allow it to open. It's like Shawn said the only difference is the word Pause is added at the end. Once you okay it, it doesn't show again.

Yeah, you'll always get the generic warning since the download is technically from an "unknown publisher" or "unknown source".

    Thank you for your efforts.
I started the bat file in the command prompt and saw it worked perfectly without any problem but till now nothing helped me to install the anniversary update.
In safe mode there was no problem with the network just the icon in system tray showed that. I could use windows update assistant to start the process and it worked till 100% then sent a new error message 0x8007043c..

0x8007043c.. can show that there are file integrity problems, run a sfc /scannow and if you see any problems read the blue note box at the end of each option, I'd run option two: run scan at boot report any results.

I wish you'd fill in your system specs, I can't tell what anti-virus your running. What's the history on that, have you ran norton, macafee, what do you have in now? I'm hoping not more than one.

Do you have a repair disk?

    Finally success.
With MediaCreationTool the update was smooth.
I wonder if it's possible to update to the anniversary update with Windows automatic update at all?
My computer tried several times but the update always ended with an error.

What version are you running now? WIN KEY + R, type WINVER, enter, post screen.
