After running this script, I'm still getting error code 0x8007000D, and "some update files are missing or have problems". I've ran multiple sfc /scannows, all have come up clean. And Windows is otherwise running smoothly. I absolutely refuse to reinstall Windows for like the dozen-th time this year, and all because Microshaft can't get their crap together and push through a cumulative update. I'm tired of it.

    Hello mate,

If you like, you could try doing a repair install of Windows 10 below to hopefully fix this without losing anything.

ran this an got some errors, and still wasnt able to update. i created the usb repair media via the MS site and no luck.

when i used the media creation usb tool, it stated it was having problems determining if my system could run windows 10.

    I am on a older machine (4770K/Z87)

    Hello,

It's normal to get a few error messages when running the BAT to reset Windows Update. They're for items that can't be found since they've already been deleted or just not there to be deleted.

You could try directly downloading an ISO file to use for the USB instead.

    Download Windows 10 ISO File

Are you dual booting with any other OS?

You could try doing a clean install of Windows 10 at boot being sure to wipe the whole disk until unallocated to start fresh.

I've heard issues like this could happen when dual booting with an OS like Linux. I don't use Linux, so the only way I know of is a full wipe and clean install.

It depends on who has the MBR (Master Boot Record)....in other words which OS is the primary OS to boot up when the system is turned on....I would suggest you check with the forums for the particular Linux OS you have and see if anyone there has run into the same situation....on Linux you can also ask via the HexChat app where you'll get quick replies from the admins of the OS and other users....hope this helps....

Now for my issue I downloaded and ran the .bat file but am still getting Windows Update failures....I'm on the latest Windows 11 as of February 15, 2023....I've paused Windows Updates for a week and will re-attempt tomorrow....any other suggestions on how to get this working again?? Thanks!!
