Reinstallation takes much less time than troubleshooting, as the old saying goes.

I am getting this error when I try do do the update. I ran the above update reset .bat script to no avail. I started the recommended services in services.msc. Windows Update, Background Intelligent Service.

    What to try next?

There were some problems installing updates, but we'll try again later. If you keep seeing this and want to search the web or contact support for information, this may help: (0x80073701)

I ran the .bat as admin, got a few errors but it rebooted. Still cannot update.

    I am on 21H2 (19044.1682)

Also, there were quite a few "registry key or value was not found." I just ran them from an admin cmd to see which produces that error. E.g, the first is regsvr32.exe /s atl.dll
But there were no errors produced that way, copy/pasting in about 10 at a time.
This is what I got also.

    Anyway, still getting 80073701 error

When I try to do the manual install of the above, I get this:

despite the error message, it installed and rebooted. However I am still stuck at this (for the last several months).Reset Windows Update in Windows 10-.jpg

after that I run (ad admin) WuReset.bat (multiple times and reboots), also to no avail, still getting the same error mesg:

I suppose you could see if doing a repair install may fix it.
