I was indeed signed on to an administrator account, I did find a way around the file not running after dealing with the UAC, it has something to do with the profile that I was on having something wrong with it. It's been that way for a while and I do not know how to fix it, it also caused me some issue when I tried to run a game (it couldn't open the anti-cheat).

I tried running the BAT file in a different account, this time the policy update went through but it the third [SC] failed. Everything else I believe ran as it should.

Another thing I forgot to mention, after [SC] OpenService FAILED 5: it also says Access is denied. if that helps.

If the BAT file was able to fully finish running and prompt you to restart the computer, then it has ran as it should.

It's normal to get a few errors during the process.

Hopefully, it was able to fix your Windows Update issue.

If not, then you could try a repair install of Windows 10 below.

I have just looked through the Script and I can NOT find the line that you mention !

Could you be a bit more specific please on the section of the Script that you are referring to.

It's not clear where it is failing. You said the next step which appears to be:

I'd suggest using a force delete utility to delete those if the script fails then run the script again after rebooting into safe mode.

Personally I don't use this script as it has typically not completed what it is supposed to do whenever I have run it. I use an alternative script.
