    Hi Bill,

From: https://answers.microsoft.com/How to Use the Rollback Function in Windows 10 1709, 1703 and Earlier Versions of Windows 10
    Summary
NOTE: Please be aware the Windows.old folder located at the root of the local disk where Windows 10 is installed will be deleted after 10 days automatically. The Windows.old folder is used to facilitate the rollback. So please perform any rollback within 10 days or this option will no longer be available. Otherwise, create a backup before upgrading to Windows 10.

    Hi Brink

Will the roll back still work if resetting Edge doesn't cure the problem.

    Thanks

    Hi Brink

I have looked at the first method you suggested but Microsoft Edge is not featured in the Apps and Features List am I missing something?

"Microsoft Edge" should be listed in Apps & Features like below. If you don't see it, you can use the other tutorial to reset it instead.

    Hi Brink

The problem has been solved it was an IBM program Trusteer Rapport that was causing the problem, I've uninstalled it and Edge is OK.

I had this before on another computer when it upgraded to 1703 and completely forgot about it.

I am incredibly grateful for all the help you and all the other people who have replied have given.

    Regards
    Bill

My CatRoot2 folder is not populated after reboot, so I had to restore CatRoot2.bak folder. Maybe it is better to copy the folder and then remove only the contents of the original folder...

Hello and welcome to Ten Forums. :)

The Catroot2 folder is normally automatically recreated by Windows, but that is why the .bat file renames Catroot2 folder to Catroot2.bak as a backup to be safe.
