    Cannot enter windowed mode

    Hi, i have a similar problem: I'm playing "Dragon Mania Legends" (from Windows Store) on my Windows 10 Laptop. Yesterday I installed the 1511-Upgrade for Windows 10. From then, i cannot enter windowed mode in "Dragon Mania Legends" anymore. Before installing the Upgrade it worked like a charm, but now the button is simply missing in the Titlebar and in the system-menu, also.
    Another game i play is "Cloud raiders" - A Windows Store-Game, also. This game never had a windowed mode in Windows 10. Neither before the Upgrade nor after it.
    My question is: Can an App control, if Windows 10 provides the windowed mode or not? I thought EVERY App now can be run in windowed mode. Is this wrong?
    thx in advance,

    Francois

    Some games load maximized or full screen, you cannot play in a window smaller than the desktop size. But this is not a problem, as long as the controls appear to minimize or close the game when you move the mouse over the top. In my case the control didn't appear, no matter what I did, until I upgraded to build 10586 and they work now.

    Well, it worked before i upgraded to 1511 (10586.11). I have the minimize- and close-Controls, but the restore-control disapeared since upgrade to 1511...

    Hello Francois, and welcome to Ten Forums. :)

    On some apps you will need to either swipe down from the top edge of a touch screen, move the pointer to the center of the top edge to have the title bar slide down, or click/tap on a button on the center of the top edge to have the title bar slide down.

    Double check to see if you may have either option.

    As said before, some games do not support playing in a window, only maximized or full screen, like Croc's World below:

    Others can be played in a window, so a "resume" button allows you to exit full screen, like Microsoft Mahjong below:

    It depends on the game.

    Hello Brink!
    I have a title bar, but since the 1511-Upgrade there is no "Restore"-Button on it. I have only "Minimize" and "Close".
    @spapakons:
    Yes, i understood very well, what you said. But on one of my games (Dragon Mania Legends) mentioned in my first post, there definitely was a "Restore"-Button in the title-bar before upgrading to 1511. After upgrading it was gone. So, something seems to have changed in 1511. Maybe it's a bug within the game.

    Did you move the pointer to the center of the top edge of the window border to see if you get a slide down bar?

    Well, I had seen that bug once, don't remember how it fixed. Maybe Dism and sfc would help. It could also be some update that fixed it. Start Windows Store and click on your account, select Downloads and Updates. Update anything found and could fix.
