I wish to thank the OP that produced and posted this guide. You saved my bacon. I'm a 68 year old retired Systems Support Tech and haven't worked in the field since 1998. To say I'm a list rusty would be a gross understatement.
I screwed up a perfectly fine HP Pavilion by not DEACTIVATING the admin and my accounts when moving c:\users to d:
I'll never make that mistake again!
I looked all over the 'net at utilities that promised everything and delivered little. I read more bull-puckey from those who, apparently know very little about even less. But you guy(s) & gal(s) have got it goin' on!
The layout visually, the clear, concise, instructions, plus the explanations combined with the accuracy with which your steps result in exactly what you present onscreen is greatly appreciated by an old hand like me.
Muchas gracias, amigos y amigas!

Bree,
The method does not work for a 21H1 ISO with install.wim. The single-Edition result is still too big for Fat32.
I've added a warning to my original post [which has now been moved to position #537 in the thread].

All the best,

The official answer is, download the Media Creation Tool from Microsoft, then download the file to the USB, and that's it.
Hey, I'm sorry to need to make a correction in this tutorial, but whereas the tutorial indicates that at least a 4 GB USB drive would be needed for the 64-bit installation, the instructions in the MCT state "at least 8 GB" for a working size USB drive, and when I attempted the download to a 4-GB drive anyway, I was stopped by a message stating that the drive was too small. I was hoping that the tutorial was correct and the MCT was just overly restrictive in its language...
That post was awesome, Shawn Brink!
Thank you very much for your help, this forum is blessed :)
I was able to generate a usb flash-disk for windows 11 with success, by using the option 4 :)
Hugs to all of you, and stay with God!
