If we are booting via UEFI mode,is it 100% sure that setup when automatically installs os ,it definitely creates GPT scheme and not MBR(coz i learnt that UEFI can use MBR disk) ( in brand new disk) ? At what point we will get to know if the setup is going mbr or gpt way ? After total installation is over ?
Yes, if you boot from UEFI it will automatically set up GPT for your Windows 10 OS. Thats exactly the way I install Windows 10 so I know from my own experience. You will know its GPT when youre installation has finished. You can either check it in Disk Management or use Diskpart to check

    @inwell,
If you boot the PC in UEFI mode, Windows Setup can ONLY install Windows 10 in UEFI mode. If your disk is MBR rather than GPT, you will see the following message:

When the installation is over, right-click on the Start button-->Windows PowerShell (Admin).
Run the following commands (shown in red):

    CMD
    bcdedit | find "path"

    You will see the following:
    Code:
    C:\Windows\system32>bcdedit | find "path"

    path \EFI\Microsoft\Boot\bootmgfw.efi
    path \Windows\system32\winload.efi
"EFI" denotes that Windows is running in UEFI mode, which requires GPT.
You can't possibly install Windows in UEFI mode on an MBR disk.

But when we purchase new drive, is it MBR always ? Or doesn't it have any scheme ?

I believe (but am not sure) that a new disk is blank rather than MBR or GPT.

You may use MiniTool Partition Wizard Home Edition to check whether your disk is blank, GPT, or MBR.
I don't have a blank disk at hand.

A physical drive cannot be completely "blank". It has to be either MBR or GPT. Just because it is unallocated does not mean that it is "blank" as in neither MBR or GPT. Most brand new drives with no partitions defined on them are MBR.

I stand corrected. Last time when I bought a brand-new disk, I used DiskPart to convert it to GPT without checking whether it was originally MBR or GPT.

Really ? It's very confusing 🙄. As i read online that UEFI supports MBR and GPT both .

UEFI can access both MBR and GPT disks. It doesn't mean that Windows can be installed in UEFI mode on an MBR disk.
