    You could use Option 1 in the tutorial in the first post to directly create a Windows 10 installation USB.

    If it upgrades to 1909, you can just uninstall KB4517245 as f14tomcat posted above for 1903 afterwards.

    You need a USB stick whose capacity is no less than 5 GB.

    Hi

    @kitpzyxmsir

    simply fetch the build you want from UUPDUMP -- there's around 1300 for you to choose from -unzip the downloaded file and run the script --it will create an iso for you which you can then use to install / upgrade windows.

    you can run the generated iso, copy to a DVD or create a bootable usb (use Rufus).

    Install to hard drive


    Now that microsoft install wims are over 4gb, how do you install to hard drive as in "Windows 10 Recovery Tools - Bootable Rescue Disk".
    Do you follow instructions for "Create bootable USB installer if install.wim is greater than 4GB ".
    I tried formating partition to ntfs but it wouldn't boot. The only other way i have seen is to extract Your version of Win 10 from install.wim and then replace it. "https://www.dell.com/support/article/au/en/aubsd1/sln313422/windows-10-iso-contains-wim-file-that-is-big-for-fat32-file-system?lang=en".

    MCT (Media Creation Tool) downloads the ESD version of the WIM, so it is much smaller, and will make it onto a thumb drive.

    Little curious...

    Do I need two separate USB drives to create bootable media for the UEFI system and Legacy Bios System?
    Is it possible to burn the USB / create a common bootable USB that will run on both the system types..? just selecting the Legacy or UEFI pre text in boot order?

    I have already downloaded ISO from the official MS site.

    No need to create two separate Windows 10 installation USB drives.

    Creating a USB using option one will allow you to use it to install with either UEFI or Legacy BIOS.

    The first option is Windows Media Creation Tool..right? But as i mentioned earlier i have alredy downloaded 64 bit copy from MS server. This Media Creation tool makes me download ISO again... (
