Brink,
First, let me say a hearty Thanks! for all the work you have already put into tutorials and assistance to newbs and regulars alike here and in the other Windows[x] forums. As I started to learn more about my &@#% computer, and was forced by circumstances to move away from W7 to W10, I started seeing the name Brink and your lovely gray face more and more in my search results for help keeping things running smoothly as Windows kept changing! I really think Microsoft doesn't understand how much their user base depend on this site and others for keeping their Windows systems up and running. Sorry for the ramble, but it's true.
Would it be possible for you to add a 'Manual method' option to this tutorial, like the Option Two given here:
https://www.eightforums.com/threads/...windows.15458/
updated to reflect any particulars to Windows 10. I have seen short versions of the procedure here in TenForums by some of the Gurus, and I really like the manual method, even though it takes more steps, as it does not depend on any other (non-Windows) software to use to 'create' the bootable USB drive. I would really like to see your polished version enshrined in a tutorial for us OCD types to link to...Again, many thanks!
Rufus 3.5 adds an option to download an ISO as well. Currently in beta.

sorry guys for what I am about to say about this Rufus tool. Yesterday I needed it as I had a fresh iso of Windows to burn and it disappointed me . It just sat there midthrough (50%) not going further, so slow in doing the one thing it's supposed to do don't know exactly what the coders thought they must do with the source iso and why it so was excruciatingly slow. When politely asked to cancel the operation, after ignoring the message it popped it just freaking froze the system WTF, after being so freaking slow it had to take freeze the system as well , having to resort to restart pe force. I do not recommend such tool don't know why I even tried something like this in the first place when prior to that the usb drive was always managed with YUMI. I wanted a UEFI based only Windows setup as I feared I wouldn't be able to boot on UEFI machines. Wrong the machine came ready to boot legacy too. In case future victims may come by with similar needs I say to them Yumi is freaking awesome piece of software and I swear by it. It just has the isos or in case of the windows one the content copied on the usb flash but faster and reliable.
I just created a bootable USB drive with Rufus 3.4 and it works flawlessly on my HP 500-056 64 bit machine with Windows 10, so I don't have a clue as to what you're talking about.
Although you haven't completely filled out your computer specs, it looks like you should have no trouble, unless you're expecting Rufus to create your bootable flash drive in less than 3 1/2 minutes.
I've never had a problem with Rufus failing to do what I told it to do. I just can't recommend it to new users who want to do nothing more than create a standard Windows 10 USB flash drive because no extra software (including YUMI) is required to create it. By just letting Microsoft's Media Creation Tool create the flash drive, or by doing it manually with simple diskpart commands, the flash drive produced will boot in any computer capable of booting from a flash drive.
