I use Rufus too,..it's so quick and simple to use. The utility doesn't even store anything on your Registry. I've used Rufus twice since I leant about it to make Bootable USBs after downloading CU (1703) and FCU (1709) ISO files via MCT. Successful on both occasions.
You have to be careful with rufus as it is easy to get settings wrong eg if you are doing legacy bios install, and select uefi mode. I rarely use it as just as quick to mount iso as a drive and copy all files to a fat32 formatted drive. Rufus was very handy in Win7 days when you could not natively mount isos as as drive, but now it is not really needed any more.

Delete all partitions and install to unallocated space.

so disconnect main drive thanksks .
I also noticed on the tut Create Bootable USB Flash Drive to Install Windows 10 it says to navigate to and select your 64-bit Windows 10 ISO file, and then make sure that Standard Windows installation is selected (dotted).
I even got the same version of Rufus but cant find that option...

You'll only see that setting after you select the ISO file in Rufus.

    New Rufus update:
    Version 2.18 (2017.11.07)
    • Ensure that the same drive is reselected on device refresh
    • Add a cheat mode to cycle the USB port of currently selected device
    • Make lookup for updatable .cfg file more generic (e.g. ESET SysRescue)
    • Fix handling of multiextent ISOs (e.g. BlackArch Linux)
    • Fix propagation of image decompression errors
    • Update grub4dos to latest

The easiest way is to let Microsoft do it for you with the MCT(Media Creation tool): Download Windows 10
